Elementary Student Registrations
The York Catholic District School Board, which is one of the top-performing school boards in the province, welcomes New and Returning Students for the 2024-2025 school year! Registrations for students entering elementary school, as well as assessments for secondary students who are new to Canada, will take place at the Board’s head office, the Catholic Education Centre during the summer. Elementary schools will be closed from July 1st to August 23rd. Secondary schools will be closed from July 15th to August 16th.
The Board’s Admissions Department will accept registrations for Kindergarten – Grade 8 students, Mondays to Thursdays, from July 8th to August 16th, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children born in 2020 are eligible for Junior Kindergarten, while children born in 2019 are eligible for Senior Kindergarten.
Parents/Guardians will need to bring the following documentation to register their child/children:

Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate (for child or parent)

Proof of Age

Proof of Status in Canada

Proof of Residency (Property Tax Bill or Proof of Purchase or Lease/Rental Agreement and Utility Bill or Phone Bill)

Proof of English Separate School Support, such as a property tax bill or MPAC Property Assessment Notice (school support forms can be provided, if necessary)
